Topic Authority

Topic Authority analyzes your Search Console query data and clusters related keywords into topics. For each topic, it shows how many keywords you rank for, your average position, total impressions, and an authority score.

How It Works

The tool uses AI to group your ranking queries into topical clusters. For example, if you run a photography site, it might create clusters like "camera settings", "photo editing", "portrait photography", and "landscape tips".

Authority Score

The authority score reflects how well you cover a topic based on:

• Number of keywords you rank for in that cluster
• Average ranking position across the cluster
• Total search demand (impressions) you capture
• Consistency of rankings (are all keywords in similar positions, or is it scattered?)

Finding Gaps

Look for topics where you have some keywords ranking but with low authority scores. These are areas where you have started to build relevance but have not yet established comprehensive coverage. Creating additional content in these clusters can build your topical authority and improve rankings across the entire cluster.
