URL Inspection
The URL Inspection tool lets you see exactly how Google views any URL on your site. It connects to the Google Search Console URL Inspection API to fetch live indexing and crawl data for a specific page.
How to Use It
- Navigate to Utilities → URL Inspection
- Enter the full URL you want to inspect
- Click Inspect
The tool will query Google's servers and return detailed results about how that page is indexed.
What the Results Show
- Indexing status - Whether the page is indexed, excluded, or pending. If excluded, the reason is displayed (e.g. "Crawled - currently not indexed", "Duplicate without user-selected canonical")
- Crawl info - When Google last crawled the page, the HTTP response code, and any crawl errors encountered
- Mobile usability - Whether the page passes Google's mobile-friendly checks or has issues like content wider than screen, clickable elements too close together, or text too small
- Rich results - Any structured data detected on the page and whether it is eligible for rich result display in search
Requirements
This tool requires Google OAuth to be connected in Settings > Search Engines. The Search Console property must be verified for the site you are inspecting.
