The Anchor Text Analyzer examines every link on a page and categorizes the anchor text to help you understand your linking patterns.
How to Use
- Go to /utilities/anchor-text-analyzer
- Enter a URL and click Analyze
- The tool fetches the page and classifies all anchor text
What the Results Show
- Exact match - Anchor text that exactly matches a target keyword
- Partial match - Anchor text containing part of a target keyword
- Branded - Anchor text using a brand name or domain
- Generic - Non-descriptive text like "click here", "read more", or "learn more"
- Naked URLs - Links where the anchor text is the raw URL
- Image links - Links wrapped around images (using alt text as the anchor)
- Distribution chart - A visual breakdown of anchor text categories
A diverse, natural anchor text profile is important for avoiding over-optimization penalties from search engines.
