Global Latency Test

The Global Latency Test checks your website's response time from 20 locations around the world. It sends HTTP requests from each location and measures the time to first byte (TTFB).

Locations

The test covers major regions including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. This gives you a realistic picture of how fast your site loads for users in different parts of the world.

What Good Latency Looks Like

  • Under 200ms - Excellent. Your server or CDN is close to the user.
  • 200-500ms - Good. Acceptable for most websites.
  • 500ms-1s - Fair. Consider adding a CDN or optimizing server response.
  • Over 1s - Poor. Users will notice the delay.

Improving Latency

  • Use a CDN like Cloudflare or Fastly to serve content from edge locations
  • Optimize server-side processing time (database queries, rendering)
  • Enable HTTP/2 and compression
  • Use regional hosting if most of your audience is in one area
