Metadata Checker
The Metadata Checker inspects the of any URL and reports on all meta tags, Open Graph tags, title, description, and other head elements.
How to Use
- Go to /utilities/metadata-checker
- Enter a URL and click Check
- The tool fetches the page and parses all head elements
What the Results Show
- Title - The page title and character count
- Meta description - The description tag content and length
- Open Graph tags - og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, og:type
- Twitter Card tags - twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image
- Canonical URL - Whether a canonical tag is present and its value
- Robots directives - Any meta robots tags (index, noindex, follow, nofollow)
- Viewport - Whether a mobile viewport tag is set
- Charset - The declared character encoding
Missing or problematic tags are flagged so you can fix them quickly.
